Reading time: - The Auction Site For the Smart Chess Bargains

"Hey man, it's $83 for my signed Fischer's scrapbook, take it or leave it.". Is this a familiar response when you are haggling with a private bookseller for their prized possessions. The link between value for money and reality can sometimes be hard to find. Surely there is a better way of conducting such transactions? Yes, Ebay is the option many choose but the problem is that it is such a general marketplace that the subtle qualities of that scrapbook you are trying to flog will be lost on the typical eBay seller. Also, chess fans do seem averse to trawling eBay for the rare chess pearls from an ocean of generic "vintage" chess computers and the random chess library sale job lot.

Check it out. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, who cares but it is an option for some perhaps.
